Times Zelda series fucked around with gender:
-Link's 'Fairy spell' turning Link into a fairy (usually depicted as female)
-Link beginning to wear earrings in Ocarina
-Zelda disguising herself as Sheik, a 'male' Sheikah, in Ocarina
-The Gerudo mask in Ocarina that "makes you look like a girl?"
-The Great Fairy mask in Majora's Mask
-Oracle of Ages item 'Mermaid Suit'
-Oracle games having you amass a large ring collection
-Skyward Sword Link getting earring upgrade more fancy than the plain blue earrings
-Triforce Heroes has crossdressing outfits for Link, including the Legendary Dress (Zelda's dress), and no one makes fun of Link for wearing them
-Breath of the Wild the Vai Gerudo outfit you need to wear to get into Gerudo town but can wear anywhere anyway.
-Fancier jewlery than before can be worn
-Tears of the Kingdom the very femme outfits Link can now wear which one of them is basically a backless dress
Link is, if not Gender, very tasteful in the outfit department now.
For the record, this is not an argument of if any of these count as "good rep". It's just me making a personal list of these things happening in the series and me going "hmmmm".
