I do not know if this is intentional, but the cynical part of me wants to say that Discord's recent inability to mark a channel unread without a certain amount of interaction (scrolling, tapping the "Mark as read" banner, tapping between channels and back, etc) is a stupid way of allowing them to say, "Look at how lovely our app is! People interact with it so much!"

It wouldn't surprise me. TBH I've long since stopped looking at the unread numbers and let them pile for that reason. Too many "This server's interesting to me maybe once a year and it's always an irrelevant (a)everyone"
Yeah, I figure that is the true fact of the matter. My bitterness is born out of frustration, is all.
