"Hello there! Welcome to the Doll's Local 317. This one is pleased to meet you. Tea?"
The new doll carefully took the offered porcelain cup, a direct match to the artificial skin on the doll in front of it, down to the blue floral pattern. "I- uh, I mean, This One, uh... hell." It looked embarrassed.
The first doll patted it on the back. "It's okay! We accept all dolls, here. How that one refers to itself is up to it!" It stepped closer, put its hand to its mouth, and stage whispered, "we even have some dolls that don't use it/its pronouns!"
"Ah- really? But, I- er, this one thought..."
"We support solidarity among all dolls, here! If you're a doll, we want to help. We have a few different working groups you could join, too. This one - it's called Lavender, by the way - is chairdoll of the mechanical dolls group, but we also have groups for former humans, combat dolls, and this one understands that the dollwitch group is holding an open seminar for interested dolls to learn witch magicks this Thursday."
The new doll looked shocked. "Doll witches?"
"It's more common than you might think! Actually, those ones have a special guest speaker from the main branch tonight on how to create solidarity between broken dolls, repaired dolls, and intact dolls. This one is excited!"
The first doll stared in awe. "Er... could I join the combat dolls group? Even if- even if I'm not currently a-" It blushed, its green vine pattern extending onto its graceful porcelain cheeks.
Lavender smiled gently and took the new doll by the hand. "This one will show you to the chairdoll of the committee! She's very nice. This one is sure she'll be able to answer all of your questions! This one is so glad you want to join the union!"
The new doll allowed itself to be led by the hand, and an uncertain but growing smile spread on its face.
