I'm listening to a certain pop neuroscience lib podcast just to have something in the background that I can sorta-listen-to-but-not-really while at work.
But I got to a part where the host started deliberating about the possibility of expanding human intellect through gene splicing and I just can't. Setting aside the matter of intelligence being a false concept which was already explored by people smarter than me, MOTHERFUCKER, we don't need gene splicing to make humans more intelligent.
Just give people food and health care and a safe place where they can live, socialise and develop whatever skills they find interesting or useful.
