teaching myself how to draw, even on a basic level, has been so good for me... there's a reason 99% of my art is just of My Creatures. i've ended up using art almost entirely as a way of exploring and experiencing what serves as "gender" for me, which is deeply tied to otherkin feelings and dragon stuff.

i think, if you've got gender feelings that you can't figure out how to represent in your physical body, art is just a really good avenue for it, and like all things gender it's never too late to give it a shot. i didn't draw shit all the way through my teens, but already at the start when my digital art was "ms paint drawings made exclusively using the curve tool" it felt Good. you don't even need to improve your technical art skills if you don't want to
