like, lots of people don't like the sound of their own voice and don't seem to realize that it's possible to improve how their own voice sounds (both to themselves and to others)
To make an analogy, it's extremely acceptable and normal in our culture that if you don't like the way your body looks you might exercise or something. However, when people don't like the sound of their own voice they just throw up their hands and assume that it's an immutable fixture of their life … but it's not!
You can train your voice in the same way you train your own body and instead of just tolerating your own voice you can actually produce a voice you like for a change.
This is especially true for cis people, who (likely) don't have to train as much to produce a voice they will be happy with compared to, say, trans women trying to feminize their own voices.
