The weirdest thing about the current season is the new "play out the last half-inning even if the batting team is ahead". I know it makes some sense to normalize the stats (and since Runs are Physical Objects, I guess there might eventually be a reason) but it sure ends up feeling petty.
Of course, I'm a Wild Wings fan, I don't really comprehend this "winning" thing. It's all very new and confusing.
So it's been a long time since beta, but isn't that just shame? Or has something else to do with final innings changed that I haven't noticed?
It's new! Shame is when the batting team in the bottom half of the ninth takes the lead. Used to be, if the team that would bat in the bottom of the ninth was already ahead, they wouldn't play out the last half-inning. (Which was occasionally weird, what with this and that and the other, secret thing.) Now the game plays out regardless and you have the possibility of Shame and the certainty of Humiliation.
