In Season β1, fans voted overwhelmingly to Open the Forbidden Book, despite the cryptic warning "It is forbidden." As a direct consequence, Garages star pitcher Jaylen Hotdogfingers was incinerated. Nobody could have known that this would happen.
In NEW Season 1, fans voted even more overwhelmingly to NEW Open the Forbidden Book. While the warning remained the same, we also had the knowledge of what happened last time. We knew Wild Wings star pitcher Anastasia Isarobot would be incinerated. And we did it anyway.
So where Hotdogfingers's death could be interpreted as an (avoidable) accident, Isarobot was frankly sacrificed by the fans.
