Getting myself put on e621's DNP list, because fuck them. I shouldn't have to do this, but that same disrespect of artists that leads to me not wanting my stuff on their site also means they just upload anything unless explicitly told not to.

The weirdest part about this is I have to call myself an artist (???) to get put on their DNP list. Like... I guess I am??? Maybe?

Lmao they fucking declined me because they assumed since I don't upload to FurAffinity, I don't upload anywhere. I explicitly asked to be added to the "DNP Artists list" too, so I clearly didn't miss their bullshit where they won't let you blanket DNP your OCs.

Sending another post with a link to my art on Cohost, we'll see how that goes.

So after ghosting me for a week, forcing me to chase them up, they sent this. A bit bizarre to me really. I don't want my art on their site. They don't want my art on their site. Therefore they will not prevent people from posting my art to their site.

I just... don't think that applying quality control to the DNP list makes sense? (I did read their uploading guidelines, my art only fell afoul of nebulous "Quality Standards", specifically "All submissions need to display a solid grasp of artistic principles.") It's already too long to be human-readable. And how am I supposed to know when I create a piece of art that passes their standards?

I've sent a response asking one last time to be added, since relying on not being of suifficient quality is a fucking terrible idea (I phrased it politer). I fully expect to be declined again, but it's not like I've got anything to lose.

I might make a post at some point detailing why I didn't want my art there in the first place (it's the institutional transphobia and interphobia mostly), since it seems like a shocking proportion of the furry community just don't know about it; but I do not have the spoons right now.
