learned today that saying "how do i talk to a person" frustratedly into my pharmacy's automated system does actually bring you to a person you can talk to. this world is a strange and beautiful place

unfortunately due to my job i have to talk to many pharmacies, most commonly walgreens. i literally have memorized that for the walgreens system you immediately say “speak to a pharmacist” and then when you hit the next menu immediately say “help me with something else.” that puts you into the pharmacy call queue.
i really dislike the speech recognition systems most places are putting in. it’s much better to be able to keymash through everything imo.
