Pictured here is the Venus de Milo, an ancient Greek sculpture created sometime between 150 and 125 BC and discovered by a farmer in 1820. The statue was found in two large pieces: the upper torso and the legs draped in marble cloth. Clearly missing of course are the statue's two arms. Although fragments of the upper arm and a hand holding an apple were found, the exact position of the arms were sculpted into remains a mystery.
