What they lack in tune they make up for in frequency! House Wrens are not tuneful but instead make a series of jumbled notes that change in pitch and speed.

Yeah I’d bet house wren. They’re tiny and brown and loud and are unfamiliar with the concept of shutting up, and there are a lot of them around this year it feels like

At least they sound pretty nice

IIRC the features of their song include: lots of quickly repeated notes, generally starting high and ending low
