warning: I have no idea if this is a good idea, or is supported, but it's what I've been doing

in this tutorial I'll show how to upload images to cohost and use them with alt text

Step 1: upload an image normally

the post editing form for cohost, with an image uploaded

Step 2: save as draft

Step 3: re-edit draft, right click on the image and click "open in new tab"

a right click context menu on the uploaded image in the post editing form, with the cursor hovering over 'open image in new tab'

Step 4: copy the url in the new tab and use it in the following way:

![your alt text](the url)

Step 5: hit the trash icon on the image and save the draft

Step 6: check out your inline image!

an image embedded inside the post instead of put inside the gallery'
