you ever see those forum posts that just make you shake your head and keep walking when you see how the poster lives

edit: sorry, I just took another look at this and it just gets wilder and wilder

  • they're running an absurd number of partitions, as a mix of primary and logical (???)

  • they've named them all in disk management, but those names don't appear in my computer (?????)

  • they appear to be doing this so they can split their games, movies, etc. into arbitrary 100GB chunks (???????????)

  • except they AREN'T exactly 100GB, some are 97.6, some 101, etc.

what happened here.

I would say either lots of small disks... but then I would expect all primary partitions.
or cluster size limitations but then I would expect all powers of 2
all I can guess is an attempt to manually optimize where files are in the spinning disk... but why

the ability to mount drives as NTFS folders is essentially a hidden option

also, honestly? that's probably a scheme to avoid windows 7 "Library"ing everything you put there and making virtual folders out of them that mix them all together and burying everything else in the sidebar, if you have them on the main disk <_<
