I'm kind of surprised I haven't heard about one of the big online charity events ending up being a scam before this IndieLand thing blew up today. Like not that I think any particular other one is likely to be a scam, but that it feels like something that a big enough Youtuber could pull off fairly easily. Or maybe people just haven't been checking enough, given that the charity for that one has been neglecting to use the money for anything other than paying themselves for a decade before anyone noticed.
