I'm trying to think if anything I have is all that strange. Is the Dreamcast fishing controller that strange? I feel like probably to the general public, but probably not to the kind of nerd following me. I do have this terrible SNES controller shaped like a fighter jet, though I think it was already not working right when I got it, so I can't confirm if it's really as bad to use as it looks like (though it sure feels that bad in the hand).
Actually, the Capcom Pad Soldier might be considered pretty weird. It's an SNES controller where it arranges all the buttons in two rows of 3 and rotates that segment so you can use your thumb on the d-pad and your fingers on the buttons. I got it because I didn't like using shoulder buttons in SFII Turbo, and usually I just use my thumbs in both places, and it works fine.
And I used to have an Atari Lynx, and I had the official battery pack. And you might be wondering why I'm treating that as strange, but it takes six fucking D batteries. It has a clip on the back so it can attach to your belt, since it's too damn big for a pocket. I never ended up using it, but I can't imagine that having been even slightly comfortable, and it'd probably just keep pulling your pants down while bumping you in the leg when you walked.
