Gomola Speed is an evident mix that surprisingly doesn't exist a lot. Essentially, the PC Engine game is a fuller, Zelda-esque realization of classic Snake. You grow your body to encircle pellets, bomb enemies and wriggle through puzzle rooms, even encountering a boss or two. The whole is a little unwieldy and chaotic, but the concept of it is neat.

This game is one of my go to PC Engine recommendations. It's one of those games that either really works for you or really doesn't, but even if it doesn't, it's still very interesting.
