You begin to see how different cultures: different philosophies and religions and government policies wind up discussing and shaping the same few ideals of How A Society Should Be Run; with different interpretations having different priorities to these ideals or seeing them in an entirely different light. Pragmatism is as brutal as it is wise. Duty is as damning as it is honorable. Who has to do what in society creates the same cliques required to form churches to specific gods in a pantheon.
