Avarice

I have exactly one thing to say about "normal" (from a white, US-centric perspective) people because I know that nothing is more annoying than when a weirdo starts talking about normality. So, for the people who genuinely enjoy what's on TV these days, who dream of vacationing in the archetypical vacation cities and visiting every tourist hotspot, who think you just can't beat the cheeseburger and lite beer of your choice at the chain sports bar: We could both spend all day thinking of the other's tastes as dull or off-putting. But to put it bluntly, the overwhelming majority of "weird" people aren't contrarian. I've put an unhealthy amount of effort into trying to enjoy the lifestyle that comes to you naturally, and it hurt the whole time. The people who took that as a sign that I was broken only encouraged me to try breaking the world into my shape.
