I'm debating making a leather vest out of this leather jacket but I'd really want to do something with the sleeves. Like, I don't want to waste good leather.

can just keep em as patch material! i've kept like all my cloth scraps from making crop tops and jorts and just like jeans i was tired of patching the thighs of, can just sit on it till a good opportunity presents itself
Tempting. The only thing I have that can cut through leather atm is a two-handed shears. Obviously I don't expect surgical precision for diy. Maybe I'll start with rectangles and see what happens.
yeah! or just cut the sleeves off but keep them intact otherwise till you have an exact thing you want to do with them
