Goodbye Cohost <3

A comic. you love it

I've wanted to do this for a long time, and I think the end of Cohost is a damn good reason to get serious about it. We need forums again. I miss talking to people. I miss the community.

Especially with all the talk of Web Rings, I think it just makes sense to band together, and consolidate a web forum where various creators (game makers, comic artists, visual artists in general, musicians, writers, etc) would have their own dedicated space for people to discuss things. We can all have our own little corner of the forum to discuss things, people who join can explore all these other works and discuss them and grow into a community. All I ask is that you link to the forum on your site (presumably your subforum).

The problem is, I do not know if other creators WANT this. That's all that stopping me. The way I see it, the worst case scenario is little user activity, which still amounts to a guest book on your site.

Lemme know if you're into this, either as a potential user or a creator that would be interested in joining!

E: okay, already some interest!! In that case, any objection to the name Feypunks? It was nearly the name of my comic and I hadn't been able to let go since. I still own Feypunk.com tbh. Anyway it feels appropriate, a mash of gay magic and the determined DIY-ness of punk. I worry a little that it might imply being a feywads-centric thing though, which ain't my intention

oh wait I just reread your original post and I see you were proposing this as a sort of everything forum for lots of creative folks to get together? sure that'd be pretty neat, it'd be like the old days of Dumbrella which was super cool
