we met a woman in her 70s or possibly 80s who had also just started
we met in person, at a group voice practice session
she was so incredibly happy about it. her bodily appearance was, you know, what you'd expect for someone who's had a lifetime of testosterone-based development followed by a couple months of estrogen, but she had this glow. she was dressing in old-lady fashion and looked so thrilled to be.
we talked at length. she was very clear that it didn't matter how much time had been wasted or stolen from her, this was the right thing for her now. absolutely no doubt in her mind.
whatever thoughts we might have had about whether it was too late for us in our 30s, those thoughts never wound up turning into anything serious. funny how that works :)
