Now what to do with all these tools? I have like a half dozen drills at this point =p
Going to brag for a second here. I'm restoring a Craftsman drill from the 50s and the chuck was stuck on. like seriously stuck. I went on ebay to see if I could figure out if it was tapered or threaded and found an exact match. Standard thread.
from there I devised a plan that should be the envy of most any man. I used GEOMETRY to figure the circumference of the chuck, and created a tool to fasten into each of the three chuck key holes, made a make shift handle, and unstuck it on the first go!
may not look like much but it works like a charm! maybe I'll make a nicer version that will fit multiple chucks for if I run into this problem again.
I'll be putting up a tiny restoration this week to keep my momentum going. I'm shooting for every 7 to 10 days but time is never on my side and my projects keep getting bigger =p
