This is a the most hurtful thing about this whole situation. My life has been noticably better off of Twitter, but I also feel left out of the community because it is the best place for artists to get work. I hate it. I love that I check social media less. I like that I am PMing people more for social needs. Still, it is actually awful that artists have to use a harmful platform because it is the only way they get work to live.
Yeah I wish I can delete X most days. But until it actually usable, I'll post my commissions+YCHs there

Late to this, but masto is just like twitter but slightly more... I dunno, clique-y? Basically you set up in an instance and that's where most of your stuff will be seen, and it will spread to other instances when people who are in those instances share it.
If you are thinking of starting up a mastodon account might I suggest the cubhub.social instance? Its a babyfur instance and is very friendly.
Yeah I don't really like cubhub nor masto. I don't see much comments/engagement at all
