So this weeks stream is gonna be a slimmed from usual
we'll be playing some demos (Peripteia and false skies) before doing some Higarashi when they cry
for now we feel the need to at least monetarily drop some games from our rotation because of issue with equipment.
on an internet when everywhere we look we see people struggling it feels icky to ask for support for something thats not life threatening. We have a loving partner who houses ,feeds us and gives enough financial support for most our bills to get paid so sometimes we feel like asking for more is bad or greedy.
nevertheless we wanted to ask for some support because our inability to replace our equipment when it fails is increasing our stress and making it harder to create.
Our headphones,pictured in this post, are on their last legs. the one with the tape on it we'd been using since near the start of the pandemic but they would be in getting shape but we fell on them a while back. We stopped using sometime last year when our partner noticed we had to hold it to our ears by bending our neck to the side (like one might do with a phone when their hands are occupied), she gave us an old pair of wireless headphones she had, which have helped us avoid the neck pain we were white knuckling thru.
That was almost a year ago and as u can see its kinda in shambles now. it still works but it doesn't hold a charge very well and regularly dies in the middle of streams.
we've gotten very used to trying to charge them during breaks but last week even though we charged them before hand they died in less then an hour of using them. this is happening more and more and i think we need to stop relying on them or else we likely have a autistic meltdown on stream in the future. the charging issue and the fact that the frayed parts get caught in our hair all the time make them a nightmare to deal with esp while juggling all the stuff we have to do during a stream. suffice to say its effecting our work.
so yeah we're asking for help to buy a new pair. we have a throne listing for them (if you've never heard of throne its a website that allows you to buy stuff for content creators without the creator having to dox their address) we have other stuff on there we're in need of like diapers or a new hard drive but the headphones are our greatest priority atm as it limits what we can do while streaming and even makes video editing a lot more challenging. therir is a crowdfund option so if u only have a bit to spare thats fine
and alternatively u can give us money on kofi if u wanna support more directly (there are other things we need afterall)

until we get a replacement pair of headphones stuff with a big music focus we'll probably be avoiding for now (stuff like keylocker for example). even without the support we dont intend to stop streaming but we will have to make compromises.
