I encode video as BunnyHat, maintain an archive of old Transformers fan archive, and own a computer older than me.

Fun game to play with GaoGaiGar: try to identify digital shots before the digital effect starts. Reused shots and ones where the digital effect is there from the start don’t count. And don’t worry. GaoGaiGar is the sort of show where the digital effects are obvious. It’s mostly morphs, ripples, and stuff on display screens. The key is learning how the upscales of 480p video (probably digibeta) that is used only for the cuts with digital elements looks compared to the HD transfers of 35mm film that are used for everything else.
