Like, I'm kind of upset about this. I know I don't have to accept asks but it's really disappointing to get anonymous randos blowing up my asks with stupid questions and comments. Are other people getting the same shit in their inbox? Is this some tumblr shit that people do?

Idk about the bit but when you turn logged out anon off and leave only logged in anon on, you can block the idiots sending you dumb anon shit.

No one ever sends me asks. I never use the feature either. Not sure what happened, but sorry to hear this happened to you.
Very few people said put asks in my box in general, so it's hard for me to say, but it also might be worth huggling it so people can't do Anonymous asks or at least have to be users so you can reject them
