Clairion Amberveldt was once a student of the Lorwich Academy. Having washed out of the Patronage program, she fled their tortuous academia for a better life in Pinnipedia. After a near-death encounter with a Lorwich assassin, an otherworldly entity called the Soul Diver and offered a bargain: She would gain access to its incredible power in exchange for her eternal service to it. With no other choice but to accept, she took the deal and dispatched her assassin before taking refuge in the underworld city of Fellhaven.
To help provide power to the Soul Diver, who fed on secrets, she opened a tavern in the underworld city. After all, people always confided in their bartenders, telling them the truths they couldn't tell anyone else.
