I've always struggled with recommending brazilian music to english speaking people online, not because I don't have musicians to recommend, but because the language barrier is inherently going to take away something from fully enjoying the song (and folks are often not interested).
All that said, I'm listening to Vinicius e Toquinho today, specifically my favorite album of their "São Demais os Perigos dessa Vida" which starts with this simple little song about just daily life, Vinicius's singing is so sweet it always gets me singing along with him.
Vinicius is an interesting figure here, the man was a well regarded poet we're all made to study in school, and what I genuinely love is that he partnered with Toquinho (among other talented musicians) and made his poetry into song.
