finding it interesting that I'm hearing マサル say でかい a lot more than おおき which I thought was the word for huge in japanese but the dictionary days でかい is more colloquial. it's been nice catching up with his videos, it's a good opportunity to practice listening to spoken japanese more (and we've been slacking on actually studying oops.)

it's so fascinating how much in japanese is just based on vibes. I never would've imagined it but that makes sense. I think he's said both but でかい might be said more when he's excited? I dunno, it's all context and vibes.
