text transcription is at the bottom but christ. I mean how does this stuff even happen, I reinstalled the game and it somehow got more broken than I left it. I'm joking this probably happened while it was installed before, I just hadn't noticed the extra layer of brokenness while I was trying to troubleshoot the softlock and now starfield thinks I'm a dirty cheater forever in that character. for reasons. for trying to fix the broken game lol.
relapsed on my starfield break and reinstalled it to find the game has somehow, broken itself more than before
the softlock is still there, nothing's changed on that front, except now if I load the exit save from before I even did the mission and fast travel anywhere else, the game just thinks I used console commands and says my character's modded despite me never having used console commands in any save before doing the mission

this stuff's incredible. it retroactively punished me for trying to fix its brokenness

I guess I could keep playing in that """"modded"""" character anyways but man
maybe I'll start a new one, rush the main quest and pray
cause god only knows why this softlock even happens. goodbye to 40 something hours of gameplay
not tonight though, sleeping would be a better use of my time. still have to work on stuff tomorrow.
