okay that's it I genuinely fucking hate how often starfield's main quest glitches out. this is the last time I'm ever playing it if I can ever complete it. ran into another game breaking bug and I have trust issues with this game now. Did the quest where your companion dies on the eye, I thought "okay cool now I can build the armillary on the ship" except.. no. It refuses to work, the screen does nothing on any ship or cockpit, I bought a new ship just to test it, and it doesn't work!! WHY. I'm......... why are they fucking adding new graphics options if the base game is this fucking busted at multiple spots. I got past one game breaking bug with the softlock by biting the bullet and starting a whole new character, I thought it would be smooth sailing after that but now I'm faced with the choice of losing another few hours of progress to see if this quest now will decide to work right or if a core game system will just break. the ship doors aren't accessible again and the armillary screen isn't interactable. I can built it in an outpost to complete the quest but then the game's lying to me when it says I can now move the artifact collection, the screen remains blank and uninteractable even though the quest's technically completed. fucking christ
