I'd love it if japanese artists knew about cohost. that's about the only thing going for bluesky right now, that japanese and other asian artists in general know about it and are willing to be there and share art there. I'm not sure if cohost is ever gonna have that kind of appeal.

god i would LOVE for cohost to have a japanese audience and honestly would help make a jp translation for the site, but at the moment i know of like maybe 3 japanese ppl on here and i'm one of them. assc also kinda has their hands full with basically everything going on so it would also be too high cost for appealing to people that generally wouldn't care anyways
SAME as much as I still don't speak japanese I love so many japanese artists and it'd slap if this place became bigger and international like that. there's so much artists from all over asia bring to the experience of being online that twitter dying was genuinely a hit for people who couldn't keep up with that site but still wanted to follow all those artists, and not all of them maintain profiles on pixiv or what have you, though some I guess are branching out into the fediverse now? I've heard of misskey.io and was curious.
I really hope that ASSC can translate the site to more languages someday and that it keeps growing, future's always uncertain but this place of all social media websites I think should thrive. it'd be hard to get the word out though and convince people it'd be worth moving here..
i think of japanese speakers i've been pushing cohost the most but that's gotten like. maaaaybe 1 person to join lmao
jp people i feel like are also much more used to being spoonfed info than looking for it themselves, so idk how much traction cohost would gain in that regard. maybe a cohost push on tumblr or smth could get ppl to join
