Jesus, that's just unhinged. I'm sorry that's something you even have to put up with, but it's good that you at least know to be the better person and just not interact with people like that - Nothing you say will ever satiate them and if anything, they'll just twist it to make you look worse in their mind. I hope they can learn to move past it and never bother you again, directly or indirectly
I think unhinged is absolutely right.. thank you for the kind words. we're fully over it and encouraging our friend to make other friends who aren't this unhinged. I don't with them any ill, but yeah I hope they stop obsessing over us and find something more real to be mad at.
