I think we're doing patreon wrong. instead of uploading there first, I put off doing that to focus on the public facing sites so everyone could see it, so today I'm finally doing FA first then I'll see about putting stuff up on patreon.

Uploading to patreon feels like such a chore to me. I think mostly because itโs trying to be a social media site but I only ever get one, maybe two likes when I post something there, vs the severals I get posting here or bsky. The dopamine hit of seeing people enjoy my art is practically non existent on patreon.
god it absolutely is. takes time to write up a post, upload all the images, and it straight up lies when it says it autosaves your progress (in my personal experience). Glad to know it's not just us, posts getting likes there is nice, shows people saw it, but it feels like such a superfluous metric thing. I think what I hope for when posting on patreon is people can get their high resolution downloads, nonwatermarked versions of pics if they want that, plus updates on our current goings on. that's it.
