I think it was Rana III.. I genuinely don't remember anymore even though it was just yesterday. would be nice if screenshots had the name of the place where you took them, but regardless it felt striking to me stopping for a minute to realize this is just what fallout 4 was going for. I think if you're being cynical it's fair to say that starfield is "space fallout 4" because the gameplay is wholly derivative of that, but in this moment specifically it stuck out to me that I was in a biome that felt like the fallout 4 wasteland too.

ahh that sounds like such a lovely memory.. it's incredible how games can sometimes evoke these really strong mental images from our lived experiences, I haven't had Starfield do that to me but a game like RDR2 with how it models the ground under tree shade, the sound of leaves, light coming through and leaves covering the ground, I could glimpse some real moments I've been thorugh and also felt nostalgic.
