You're not wrong per se, we're all so used to that audio cue of the "click" that your average gamer probs wouldn't notice they were out until they started wondering why shooty no shoot.
oh that's true, it's definitely a thing important for gameplay reasons and that's why I don't mind it, just made me think that in reality things don't work like that
absolutely. I like overanalyzing things that are well established but like.. we don't usually think about that
