the whimsical vibes though... god Peter Daltrey to me is one of the most underrated vocalists of the 60s, man has such a pretty voice, he nailed that very special sunshine psych-baroque pop niche we fucking love. Kaleidoscope (UK), Nirvana (UK), The Millennium, Sagittarius (shoutouts to Curt Boettcher), but there's something the british were doing that was Beatles inspired but not that, that I can never get enough of. OH Andwella's Dream is excellent too, but not to get too far away from Kaleidoscope, the british band by that name is by far my favorite out of all bands named Kaleidoscope, genuinely not a single bad album between their two incarnations, they later changed their name to Fairfield Parlour (not to be confused with Fairport Convention), and released a final album in 1970 plus some really good singles like Bordeaux Rose and Just Another Day. Cannot recommend these guys enough.
