oh christ I hate seeing "dirt" that's concerning, because when it's spread out across the corner of the room in several small patches and dots it could be that there was mold hanging out in my room.
happy to announce that my wall looks less scary now that I've cleaned what looked like mold off of it. christ I hope that doesn't come back.
I wanna take off the bed backboard that's screwed onto the wall to clean behind that for any more possible mold and while we're at it, it'd be a great opportunity to rearrange my bedroom to be less stupid. here's a rough diagram:

so the issue I'm seeing is I always keep this bedroom in the dark to be able to look at my monitor screen and work, and lately it's been super humid (ah the waters of march) and also very cold which meant I kept the heater on all day with the bedroom closed so I guess it's not surprising that mold turned up on the corner.
the one upside to all of this is that the trans pride flag I had hung up is made of that cheapo synthetic material and it seemed completely unaffected, so silver lining and all that ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ
