the universe knows if you're good or bad on a sliding scale, so if you help someone to become good, mercs want to kill you, if you're evil good people want to kill you, if you're a centrist of neutral karma nobody wants you dead and there are ridiculous perks for neutral karma characters so someone who wants to minmax skills is incentivized to go for those. In this let's play I'm watching the guy's helping people and enslaving others to make sure his karma is neutral. Enslaving people, so he's neutral karma. Like I said, deeply stupid.
