Hey isn't it fucked up that the entirety of Half Life 2 is balanced through a bandaid solution? What I mean by that is those boxes you find everywhere "know" your status at all times, so it'll always drop ammo when you need it, health when it's low, and suit charge. If you're completely topped up you're likely to find the box is empty. I guess it works, but once I learned this is what the game's doing, it feels a lot more artificial, they didn't have time to carefully plan out and balance the whole game so they made some code to do it for them, which when you think about it is such a Valve solution to the problem.
