*the woman may be mentally unwell but I don't want the word crazy to appear disparaging to this fictional woman who accidentally summoned an ancient spirit by getting high off a sacred ritual drink.
anyways the fighters guild questline for Old Ebonheart is very intriguing, it involves banishing a daedra from a man's corpse by force feeding him a potion, and then dealing with this lady who had a holy creature stuck in her storage that she thought was a rat. the creature may have provided her with the holy drink she got high off of and summoned a ghost, and me banishing the ghost via bashing its head in led it to tell me that the lady's a powerful conduit of sorts to talk to spirits and that the ghost was understanding that I didn't mean it any insult by chopping its non corporeal body, so it says "escort this lady to this guy in Dondril he'll know what to do and take care of her", and the lady did seem like she needed a caretaker that wasn't a guild of mercs, so I did that, except I had no idea where Dondril was. The escort quest required me to do this:

but instead I ended up doing this:

because I had no fucking idea where Dondril was and didn't think to ask for directions properly I took this woman on a journey with me along guild guides, silt striders and a little walk in the woods for fun (I was still very lost), she keeps asking "annoying" questions and "bothering" the player but I didn't mind it, I was just glad we never encountered anything dangerous on any of the roads I waddled down on. I thought Dondril was in House Indoril territory which to my mind was Akamora or maybe further south, but no turns out Indoril has a settlement on the Thirr river and that wasn't even the right place either, Indoril's influence seems to be more inland in mainland morrowind, the missing square between the southern edge of the map is the area around the capital, Almalexia, which I presume is where Mournhold is and where the tribunal expansion takes place but TR hasn't implemented that area yet. I'm unsure if Narsis is somewhere in that area too, I heard that's gonna be the next major update to TR which looks pretty cool.
but yeah sometimes escort quests are really easy, but because Morrowind has no quest markers I genuinely got lost and gave up after the walk in the woods around Bosmora and looked up that map on UESP. I'm not complaining though, that got me to see more of the world in a very roundabout way and it's all genuinely really neat to look at and well put together.
edit: the fucking ghost could've gave me directions saying "go south of old ebonheart to dondril" lol
