Fallout 3/4/NV VATS builds can be fun but they create the funny problem that you're now letting the first person shooter play itself and just watching a cutscene most of the time.
this is absolutely not inspired by a youtuber I like whose fallout 4 videos are mostly just fucking VATS shots every single time so they're more entertaining as background noise than as videos I'd wanna watch.
i actively avoid using vats in combat in part for this reason. that and i find the perfentages are often way too low so im generally better off just aiming myself. it is a pretty decent way to scan for enemies before combat or in low-visibility scenarios
