we've been obsessed with listening to Just Background Noise's Morrowind vids in the background for the past.. I don't know how long, but yeah the man lives up to his name, he's excellent background noise to work or game to but that's not to say the videos themselves are super well made, funny and super entertaining, it's definitely taught me some TES lore about.. daedric princes voring and shitting another one out and stuff. favorite ones are the Tribunal and Bloodmoon from Level 1 vids, highly recommend those for fun commentary and lore.
anyways the reason I'm even writing this post besides recommending a channel I've been enjoying a lot is that during the vampire run I linked above he murders poor Ra'Virr for his fun "daedric" weapons, and because you do not fight khajiit often at all in Morrowind, (it's mainly just dunmer unsurprisingly) I never got to hear all the fun combat barks they have, Ra'Virr goes "You're clumsy, snowman" and I absolutely love that line because of course it's meant only for male nord characters, and calling nords snowmen feels a lot more insulting than whatever insults those guys can come up with like "milk drinker", I mean come on. calling a nord a snowman's just funny to me because yes skyrim is cold and khajiit are not fond of the cold being from a very tropical forest and desert filled province. idk for being such a "rare" voice line I appreciate the thought that went into making up this insult, Morrowind's VA is full of little rare lines like this because you're not often fighting all races in equal amounts and they change based on your sex so I for one never would've heard this as I only play female characters (go figure the trans girl only plays female characters lol). love learning new little bits of Morrowind knowledge.
