well listening to American Pie a couple of times made me wanna go and listen to Buddy Holly (not the weezer song), and y'know his work with the chirping crickets is pretty fun. I can see this influencing some guys in liverpool and some folksingers, so many people were influenced by Holly and then in turn influenced so many more musicians, it feels like Buddy Holly is a cornerstone of western music just because of the butterfly effect his life and work caused upon other artists.
