trying to imagine what the writers at bethesda (I think especially Pagliarulo) were thinking during Fallout 3's development with the androids plot. What kept that idea alive in their heads through Fallout 4's development that made it that game's whole schtick.
Did they think that was smart? Super clever and interesting? On the same level as Blade Runner?? ARE ANDROIDS PEOPLE?????????
yes. they are. next question. those writers aren't clever at all.
There's something that's hard to articulate about why Bethesda's Fallouts piss me (and a lot of people) off more than we can connect with them on a meaningful level. It's the way the games are written and structured more like fantasy, it's the "find your dad Liam Neeson" and "find your son Shaun", it's just a perfect storm of stupid and not even funny shit (Interplay's Falllouts were really stupid, especially 2) that makes these games really subpar in people's eyes. The gameplay's great! Everything else about it though...
