I feel like sharing art on discord servers can often be harsher than sharing it on any social media site. on social media there's degrees of separation, there's less expectations involved because people might not see art you posted, so it's understandable if something doesn't get traction or attention. on a discord server everyone will see you posted something to the relevant channel, and in those cases where it doesn't get any comments nor any reactions... it makes my anxiety activate because I start wondering "did people hate it that much? it didn't provoke any reactions at all..." and I know that's a silly way of looking at things, people don't have something to say about everything, I'm guilty of not saying anything about art posted, but I can't help being anxious, the anxiety brainworms are overpowering. I always expect something due to the smaller and more personal scale of things, so when nothing happens that can feel very disheartening.
