as an artist who wants their work to be easy to browse through and vertical feeds are not easy to browse through when it comes to images, inherently I take more time scrolling through a vertical feed than a grid of images if I'm looking for a piece to reshare or whatever else, this is why I like thumbnails in my images folder instead of a list as well.
I thought keeping the tags visible would be good but ommit the text of the post until you click on it to expand the details, maybe open it in the same page or on a new one. I feel like making this an option for people to enable on their own profiles is what "everybody wins" looks like. a grid of images isn't perfect for everyone's individual purposes but for mine and I'm guessing many others here? yes. this would elevate cohost from the 4th website to the best website.
edit/additional notes: I didn't spend much time making this perfect and I know staff are working on other more important things but one can dream. I tried to keep it to what I think their design sensibilities would do in this fictional scenario, so the pinned tags box wouldn't move and the toggles/filters would be at the top of all the posts (but spaced better than in my crappy mockup and with consistent fonts)
