I'm still mad that bethesda lied (presumably unintentionally, can't assume malice otherwise you're a dipsiht) about fixing this fucking. main quest softlock in Starfield. Starfield is so locked in that you can't really do anything to fix that other than "cheat" with console commands to fix their broken ass game and you're punished for "cheating" by getting told your character's now modded and getting achievements disabled. I already 100% the thing so it doesn't realistically matter for me but it's the principle of the thing. I shouldn't have to use console commands to troubleshoot a broken game and also get punished for it.
I might be done with starfield for a while and now I wanna play Morrowind, which this starfield thing got me thinking, even if you create a "doomed universe" by killing someone you shouldn't, the game still lets you fucking complete it, it's just incredibly hard to do and kind of a secret backup to the main quest. morrowind lies to you in a way that actually makes sense for the fucking plot and the themes they were trying to evoke on you by making you question if any of this nerevarine prophecy shit was real or if you were the right person who just rose up to the task, you didn't need to have special dragon blood or anything, you could be anyone.
I dunno it feels so stupid that in Starfield bethesda themselves have created a doomed universe with no way out (unless you "cheat") due to bugs.
