where will she go?

I'm going to meet some friends today. public transportation has let me down today in a really stupid way. I went to my usual bus stop, the bus stopped for me, it didn't open the door even as I knocked on the side and the guy who charges for tickets went and told me that stop didn't exist anymore cause there's construction work all along the street. "only stop now is a ways back." there was nothing stopping the bus driver from opening the door and letting me in, he just didn't. I had no idea how far back the stop he mentioned was so I thought it'd be better to walk to a different bus stop to catch another bus from a different line. completely stupid situation. I might be a little late to meet my friends now but at least the metro didn't let me down.

the scale of the metro and train network in São Paulo is really impressive. and there's also a monorail line? which okay that's kinda neat, I had no idea that existed.

some parts were unintentionally funny, when he mentions "this line looked ready after only a year" and lol yes that's just how things are in brazil, construction projects don't take long because it takes a long time to do the labor (though that is a big factor), they also take long for shady reasons like officials requiring bribing. Another part talking about how the transfer from line 1 to line 4 is seamless was also funny because from Luz in line 1 to Luz in line 4 you need to walk a lot, and then go down at least 3 sets of escalators because the thing is really deep underground, so seamless in the sense that you don't have to pay another fare but you will have to walk a lot.
